Jean Marie Tjibaou Cultural Centre,,

The centre is composed of ten ‘houses’, all of different sizes and with different functions,
intended as a celebration of Kanak culture. It is a genuine village, with its own paths,
greenery and public spaces, located outside and in direct contact with the ocean.

Located on a 1.7km-long artificial island, these airport offices and facilities can handle
100 000 passengers a day. The structure is earthquake proof.

This 52-storey HQ for the leading US daily newspaper is being built in Manhattan.
Standing nearly 750ft, it includes a large internal garden on the ground floor along with
restaurants, a semi-public auditorium and shops.

This skyscraper of offices and apartments in Sydney's historic district is designed as a vertical
village. The idea is that the structure should be both human and hospitable.

Maison Hermès,
Tokyo, Japan, 1998-2001
A tall, elegant, 11-storey building in a lively Tokyo area. At night, its earthquake-resistant
glass-brick facade transforms the Maison Hermès into a 'magic lantern'.
